AptusTrade presents MT5, browser-based trading and a six-tier account range. We look at the useful features and the important identity checks to make before depositing.

AptusTrade's website presents a straightforward proposition for traders who want a familiar platform and a clear choice of account levels. Its strongest points on paper are MetaTrader 5 access, a browser-based alternative and a published account comparison. These are features advertised by the provider; we have not opened or funded an account to test execution or withdrawals.

Trading platforms

The platforms page lists MetaTrader 5 for charting, technical indicators and order management, alongside WebTrader for accessing an account through a browser without installing software. That choice is appealing if you prefer desktop analysis but want the option to check positions from another device. The provider notes that product and feature access depends on account type and jurisdiction.

Account choices and support

The account comparison shows six levels, from Starting at a stated USD 2,500 through Gold at USD 1,000,000. Customer support and an account supervisor are listed across the range, while market analysis and other services appear at higher levels. It is useful to see the tiers side by side, but those starting amounts are substantial. The site also advertises “risk-free trades” on some tiers without enough detail here to treat them as protection from loss: ask for the full written terms before relying on that label.

What to verify before depositing

The legal page says the site is operated by Aptus Capital Ltd and claims UK FCA firm reference 1035231. We could not independently confirm that aptustrade.com belongs to the registered firm or that the claimed permissions cover the services offered. The FCA has separately warned about a different website, aptcapital.live, impersonating Aptus Capital Ltd; that warning does not identify aptustrade.com. It does make independent identity checks especially important. Look up the firm on the FCA Firm Checker, confirm its permitted activities and use the regulator-listed contact details to ask whether this exact domain is theirs. Do not treat a company number or an FCA reference printed on a website as proof of affiliation.

Verdict

MT5, WebTrader and a clearly laid-out account range are attractive features as described on the site. Until the operating entity, domain relationship and permissions are independently confirmed, we cannot recommend funding an account. The site's own warning says 74% of retail investor accounts lose money trading CFDs with this provider. Compare costs, read the client agreement and risk notice, and never commit money you cannot afford to lose.
